So excited to try my first Tibetan Butter Tea! Last year when I was asking about people’s fondest tea stories my Buddhist teacher, Lama Choédak, told me the story of his traditional tea and the thought of butter in tea intrigued me.
It’s smooth, rich and creamy, and surprisingly tasty. You can really taste the butter!
The tea is made from having weak black tea, then adding butter, salt and hot milk.
Feeling so blessed to have this cultural experience that’s so close to my heart.
Happy sippy !
